Privacy
This privacy statement explains how Ahura Mazda handles your data. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
Who is responsible
Ahura Mazda is responsible. Details of the provider and how to contact us: see the legal notice. You can reach us at info@ahura-mazda.ch.
What data we receive
When you order tickets, we receive your name, phone number and e-mail address and, if you give it, your message. We need the e-mail address to send you the tickets. We also store that you accepted the ticket terms, and which version.
Contact form
When you write to us through the contact form, we send your name, your e-mail address, your subject and your message by e-mail to our mailbox info@ahura-mazda.ch. The website does not store the message; Resend keeps the e-mail for 30 days, like all our e-mails. We use your details only to reply to you. To prevent abuse we count how often messages are sent: for this we keep, for at most one day, a one-way code made from your IP address and one made from your e-mail address (not the addresses themselves), with the time.
What we use it for
We use these details only to organise the event: to send you the tickets, plan the seats, remind you by e-mail of an open payment and, the day before, of the event, inform you of changes and check the tickets at the entrance. At the entrance our helpers see your name and your order so that they can let you in. The QR code on the ticket contains no personal data. We do not use your details for advertising and do not pass them on.
Where your data is kept
Your data is stored securely in Switzerland (Zurich). For the website and the database we work with Supabase and Vercel, and for sending the e-mails (tickets, payment and event reminders) with Resend; all three are companies based in the USA, and data may also be processed outside Switzerland. We take the protection of your data seriously and use these services only to organise our events.
Payments
Payment is made with TWINT, by bank transfer with a QR-bill, or at the entrance in cash or with TWINT, always directly to us. We record the payment by hand (method, amount, date and, where needed, a short note); we do not store your bank or TWINT details. The QR-bill contains no details about you, only the amount and the reference of your order.
How long we keep it
Name, phone number, e-mail address and message are deleted automatically three months after the event. For our bookkeeping we keep the order and the payment without these details (reference, tickets, amount). To protect against abuse, when you order we keep a one-way code derived from your IP address (not the address itself) for at most one hour. Orders that have expired, been cancelled or been refunded lose these details 30 days later; only if we still owe you a refund are they kept until we have paid it, but no longer than 12 months after the cancellation. Resend keeps the e-mails it sent for 30 days and then deletes them. That you accepted the ticket terms stays stored with the order, without your personal data.
Cookies
This website uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising services for visitors. Only the people who manage the website for us receive cookies: for signing in, for the chosen language and for previewing the website while it is not yet public.
Links to other services
Google Maps and WhatsApp open only when you click the link yourself. From then on, their privacy policies apply. The map buttons open Google Maps or Apple Maps only when you choose them; only then do these providers receive data from your browser. The Instagram links (in the footer, the contact section and the guest information) likewise open Instagram only when you choose them; only then does Instagram receive data from your browser. YouTube videos in the gallery load only when you choose “Play on YouTube” (through youtube-nocookie.com); only then does YouTube (Google) receive data from your browser.
Your rights
You can ask at any time what data we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. Write to us at info@ahura-mazda.ch. You can also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
